Chris and the Team

Chris has over 20 years experience in cabinet making and is passionate about quality and creating bespoke pieces of work for people to enjoy in their homes. Chris Copley Furniture was established in 2011, the same year he married Mary. They have 2 children and the workshop adjoins the family home so we all see a lot of eachother!

Tim joined us as an apprentice in 2019 and is a valued part of our team. 

Based in Leicestershire

The workshop is close to Melton Mowbray, so a great East Midlands location to work in Leicestershire, Rutland, Nottinghamshire and Northamptonshire, we also travel further afield and have done numerous projects in London.

History

Chris comes from a farming family and have always had an interest in creating things using craftmenship. Having worked with a local cabinet maker since he was 16 gaining invaluable experience,  achieving NVQ Level 2 in Handcrafted Furniture and obtaining a wide knowledge of all types of woodwork.

The workshop is situated on the Ernest Cook Trust estate, which currently owns and manages 22,000 acres of landed estates across five counties and is one of the UK's leading educational charities, rooted in the conservation and management of the countryside.
